Today, I attended the WeMakeDevs Delhi meetup for the first time. It was focused on discussing emerging trends and technologies like DevOps, MLOps, GitOps, Kubernetes, Docker, etc. It was an excellent place for me to network with like-minded people and learn about their experiences, failures, and learnings. Of course, how can I forget the tasty pizza🍕 and drinks🍹, along with the cool swags👕🖊.

The event started with the inauguration of the event by the ceremony of lightning the lamp🪔, followed by opening remarks by the host, Kunal Kushwaha, the DevRel Manager at Civo (He wasn't present live there, due to some work, so he recorded a video📷 for the event). After that, Aayush Sharma described the Code of Conduct to be followed during the event). Subhasmita Swain, an SRE at Civo, then gave an inspiring talk on DevOps vs MLOps, unraveling the confusion around these two concepts. The session provided valuable insights into the world of DevOps and MLOps, and how these technologies can be leveraged to enhance software development.

Abhinav Dubey then gave an informative talk on GitOps, not just a buzzword. His talk provided insights into how GitOps can streamline development processes and ensure faster deployments.

The lunch break provided an opportunity for networking and socializing with fellow attendees. The sponsor messages in between the talks also gave insights into upcoming tools coming up in the tech industry.

The afternoon session started with a talk on containerizing - how and when? By Apporv Goyal, a remote engineer and web developer. He gave a comprehensive overview of containerization, including its advantages and challenges.

The core team members of WeMakeDevs then spoke about their path from novice to seasoned techie. They provided insights into their journey and shared tips for those looking to make a career in tech. T.M. Frazier wrote: “Things doesn't always start out the way we want them to. It's how they end that's important.” But if you don't like how they're ending, you can always hit the reset button.

The closing ceremony was given by Bhavya Sachdeva, a junior developer evangelist at Merico. The event ended with networking and photos, providing an opportunity to connect with fellow attendees and speakers.

Apart from the informative talks, the event also offered cool swags and free pizza, making it a fun-filled experience. The event also provided an excellent opportunity to expand my professional connections and receive expert career guidance.

Overall, the WeMakeDevs Delhi Meetup was a valuable experience, providing an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow. I look forward to attending more such events in the future and continuing to learn and grow in the tech industry 🚀.
